Last Saturday around 4:30pm I was configuring a new piece of equipment for my home PC - an iOGEAR combination card reader and USB 2.0 hub. Suddenly, my screen went blank. The monitor light was still on, but the CPU was off. On closer inspection I found the CPU was more than off. It was dead. Long story short, I just got the CPU back from the shop today after a new MOB and power supply were installed. The originals had been fried.
Don't really know what caused the melt down, but I'm guessing a surge or electrical discharge. All I can say is,
